Born and raised in the "Hamptons of the Chesapeake," Richard Savington attended Washington & Lee University before graduating from Loyola University and later receiving his Law Degree from University of Baltimore School of Law. This, his debut novel, was written for his son to tell his family’s story. While fictionalized, much of it was culled from two centuries of ephemera including letters, newspaper clippings and journals collected by one family. Rick continues to live on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
